Fourth album right here from this Stockholm artist who has previously released on Kning Disc. 'Apan' was inspired by a 2009 Swedish drama film directed by Jesper Ganslandt. Oh man this sounds fantastic from the moment the needle hits the clear vinyl. Having not seen the film it's impossible for me to speculate on elements drawn from the film but taking the audio on face value I can say that things sound very lonely and desolate. It sounds very much like it could be a soundtrack, whether it is his version of an alternative soundtrack who knows? The synthesizer sounds are very gorgeous indeed, each note emits a really fragile sense of beauty. The overall mood is dark but not oppressive. Each piece is untitled and simply has a number. on 'V' I'm even reminded of some of the soundtrack for the Schwarzenegger movie 'The Running Man. Highly recommended.

Eerie and desolate music inspired by "The Ape" by Jesper Ganslandt. Written and recorded fall 2008 through spring 2010.
Comes packaged in a 350gsm full color cover jacket with a black inside, LP on clear vinyl housed in a printed innersleeve. Download coupon included. Mastered by Viktor Ottosson.
