Australia's second best pub rock band (after 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts) are back with the dirtiest slice of bluesy stomp heard this side of Wagga Wagga. The Grinderman lads have a reputation for being an awesome live rock act, and this single captures them at their most ferocious and dare I say smouldering. The title track is classic Nic Cage style fare, with lines about "sucking her dry" and numerous grunts and whoops. His guitar playing is also quite an interesting feature of the group, it really zings and attacks your earpipes. The band also nail their parts with a gusto that only a load of Castlemaine XXXX drinkers possibly could. They sound vibrant and violent at the same time. It's an urgent stomping single that Stefan Dennis described as "being totally bonza" and Hugh Keays Byrne said about the single "..it's the most visceral thing I've heard in ages...cut toes off to hear it...I likes!!" The flip side is a remix by desert dweller Josh Homme and it's not bad at all. It's not a crappy danced up version or owt, it has layered vocals and more of a stomping straight ahead beat. A cool new single from the house of Grinderman...but still not as good as 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts...
