Imaginary Softwoods - The Path Of Spectrolite

The Path Of Spectrolite by Imaginary Softwoods

So here we have some "location recordings from the Forest of Light" from John Elliot who is best known these days for being a member of Emeralds. That should give you a clue as to what he's up to right here. Recorded between June 2010 and February 2011 he's on an internal spiritual trip to enable you, the listener to transcend your weary human shell and fly over the forest like a mighty eagle. Armed with his synthesizers he will take you on a neu-kosmische glide above the trees and eventually up into the cosmos where you will float in amniotic fluid before being reborn as a toad that someone will capture in the Amazon forest and scrape the gooey stuff from your back and load it into a pipe and smoke it and then will become you as they stare into the obsidian crystal. You get the picture - More new retro synthesizer action very well executed. If you dug John's last record for digitalis or are feeling the output from his Spectrum Spools curated label then this will be right on the money. Clear vinyl and all.

The Path of Spectrolite is the latest full length recording from Imaginary Softwoods. Early comments have praised this album and state that while this recording retains some if the icy drone sound from some previous Softwoods release, this is a great progression and abit more active. An extremely beautiful album entirely of sounds created by synthesizer and voice, this is an essential piece of the Imaginary Softwoods discography that you are sure to love. Pressed in an edition of 535. 150 on a clear / white mix and the remaining 385 on clear .
