Absent Without Leave - An Earlier Summer

Absent Without Leave are the moniker of Greece-based George Mastrokostas, a multi-instrumentalist whose releases provide a neat take on your wholesome, melancholic post rock gear with an aesthetic that blatantly culls from the whole Epic45/The Declining Winter/Hood vibe of season-based melancholy i.e. hand made sleeves with rustic like nature shots. The music is more stark and minimalist with gently intertwining electric guitars backed by bleak drones and field recordings rather like your Yellow 6 type solo guitar musings. This is a tour only CD of ridiculously limited number and contains four never heard before tracks all housed in a lovely handmade sleeve. Due to our contacts in the 'biz' we have secured some copies for those of us unlucky enough not to witness the live extravaganza and these things usually sell like hotcakes.
