Gatekeeper - Rawtones / Ignite (Ft. Grilza & Dread)

Rawtones / Ignite (Ft. Grilza & Dread) by Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper (A.k.A William Scott Cree) has been a fundamental part of the dubstep scene ever since it all began many years ago. He
has played all over Europe, collaborated with headhunter, statix & komonazmuk (to name a few!) He’s been a part of the infamous
‘Hench’, released tunes on ‘if symptoms persists’ and now joins the unstoppable force that is Screwloose records.
Screwloose are proud to announce that the long awaited ‘raw tones’ and ‘ignite’ will be seeing a vinyl release within the first quarter
of 2011. Both tunes have been supported by the likes of chase & status, jakes and Mary Anne Hobbs; who played it on her radio one
show various times.
Gatekeeper describes his sound to be somewhere between dubstep and grime but still keeping it within the ‘Bristol sound’ and that’s
exactly what he has achieved with both these massive releases. ‘Raw tones’ consists of unique sounding drums, dark bass lines and
moody atmospheres, where as ‘Ignite’ boasts the classic gatekeeper sound and vocals from the infamous ‘Dread Mc’ and local hero
‘Grillza’. He’s kept his head low and his style underground, but gatekeeper continues to amaze us with his production and is backing
down easily!
