This one apparently got delayed due to a pressing fault. At ease folks as it's right here right now, on transparent vinyl in an edition of 500 copies. Originally the audio here was created as a backdrop to an exhibition/installation by Steven Stapleton and David Tibet and was available to purchase on CD at the Horse Hospital Gallery in London. Later on the sounds would be reworked by Stapleton and Colin Potter for the NWW 'Salt Marie Celeste'. I think perusing the exhibition with this playing really would have enhanced the experience a great deal but spinning it in the office definitely felt like something was missing. It's a fairly quiet recording so had to be cranked up a wee bit, even just to serve as background music. However now I am armed with a set of headphones and it's a radically different experience entirely. Ghostly loops of organ swirl and swell and then retreat building up a really sinister mood in classic NWW style, there's the feeling of a storm brewing on the horizon. The overall effect of the repetition is totally hypnotic and as things elapse the mood gradually becomes darker and more paranoid even though I found the overall feeling most relaxing. Another fine addition to the gargantuan NWW catalogue.

Previously available only as an extremely limited edition CD alongside Current 93's "Music From The Horse Hospital". "Salt" was created as a continuous backdrop to Steven Stapleton and David Tibet's art exhibition and installation at the Horse Hospital gallery, Russell Square, London 2002. The CD was sold at the event and all copies were sold. The piece was subsequently reworked by Steven Stapleton and Colin Potter for the album "Salt Marie Celeste".This vinyl version is limited to 500 copies and is pressed in clear vinyl. It arrives is a beautiful gloss laminated outer sleeve and contains a double sided full colour insert.
