Giant Kind - Early Harvest, Late Harvest

Giant Kind is the musical project by Jack Hannert."Early Harvest, Late Harvest" is his debut solo release.He previously appeared on Joelle's debut "At Home" album playing violin.Jack has taken a long time to put this work together.Recorded between winter 2009 and winter 2010.This album features contributions from Joelle on dulcimer and bells.Jack skillfully combines acoustic improvisation and field recordings (from various parts of northern MI and wild pockets of metro detroit) together creating a very zen like , chilled out collection of music.Here you get birdsong, sounds from the forest, crickets and atmospherics together with violin, dulcimer and various other stringed instruments.Jack has designed and made the covers which are again linoleum screen printed.This cd comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.
