A Storm Of Light - As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade

As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade by A Storm Of Light

OVERVIEW: Josh Graham is an artist who has had many avenues where he has expressed his artistic vision. Whether it would be through the
visual direction he’s involved with the band NEUROSIS, through his filmmaking (Graham has directed videos not only for NEUROSIS but
for such bands as THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, and ISIS), and through his graphic design work (SOUNDGARDEN,
SHRINEBUILDER etc.) Graham has also had quite the musical palette at his disposal likewise.
Along with currently being in NEUROSIS, and previously being involved with such critically acclaimed acts as RED SPAROWES and
BATTLE OF MICE, it was with A STORM OF LIGHT where Graham found a true musical vision that helped to define him as an artist even
more. With already two albums released by Neurot Recordings, A STORM OF LIGHT are preparing to unleash their third and most essential
album yet, “The Valley Of Death Becomes Us, Our Silver Memories Fade”.
By combining the likes of such genres as sludge metal, doom metal, industrial, and post rock (with the natural comparisons to NEUROSIS
obviously arising), A STORM OF LIGHT have created a stirring cinematic musical vision that has put them above their peers in the genre in
which they dwell in.
With “As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us…” A STORM OF LIGHT (which also features such accomplished musicians as Joel Hamilton,
Domenic Seita, and U.S. CHRISTMAS drummer Billy Graves) have delivered their most accomplished album to date. Heavier, darker, and
more atmospheric, cinematic, and moving, “As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us…” takes Graham’s musical experiences from the past and
culminates them into a manifesting essential opus.
And to add even more dimension and color, “As The Valley Of Death Becomes Us…” features none other than SOUNDGARDEN guitarist
Kim Thayil laying down some of his signature guitar work on two tracks (‘Missing’ and ‘Black Wolves’). The album also features guest
appearances from JARBOE (ex SWANS), Kris Force (AMBER ASYLUM), Nerissa Campbell, and members from SLEEPYTIME GORILLA
MUSEUM and THE BOOK OF KNOTS.
