Beat Connection - In The Water

In The Water by Beat Connection

“this tantalizing teaser promises good things to those who wait” - NME

"a tour de force of progressive rhythms and sweet melodies" - THE LINE OF BEST FIT

"impressive instrumental and compositional range" - THE GUARDIAN

Opening with seaside bird calls, and bursting into life with an aqueous melody, Beat Connection’s new single In The Water is released on on Tender Age.

Built on layers of cascading keyboards and percussion in the form of handclaps, In The Water takes us a step closer to those halcyon days of summer.  It’s the aural equivalent of racing over warm sand and straight into the sea.

Continuing Surf Noir’s theme of 8 perfect pop postcards the meaning is both simple and profound - “just fun party music, and sometimes that’s all you need”.

Basking in the glow of the critical reception afforded debut single Silver Screen - fantasy pop sketched out in school books and constructed in ad-hoc studio spaces in Sorority houses – Seattle’s Beat Connection make their first visit to the UK in May in support of mini-album Surf Noir, released on Tender Age on April 11th.
