De La Soul's fourth album, and first without producer Prince Paul, is an absolute classic that is considered by many to be their finest effort. Including some of Jay Dee's (J. Dilla) earliest production work, and one of Mos Def's earliest recorded appearance, along with a killer guest spot from Common, Stakes Is High is a concise and nearly perfect 90s hip-hop album.
