This incarnation of John Wiese and Corydon Ronnau's Sissy Spacek project is augmented by a duel assisted assault from Lasse Marhaug (Jazkamer/ Pica Disc) and Will Stangeland (Tearist/ Silver Daggers). Together they unleash 'Dash' unto thee planet. Recorded in LA 2010 it is 41 partitioned tracks of ferocious hardcore insanity that will torch your very existence. Pummeling, nasty and aggressive squalling feedback and harsh screeing racket with deranged and aggressive dynamics that will strip the paint from the walls and leave it peeling and smokey. These guys really mean business and will take your soul prisoner. This is as brutal as as you're gonna get from a modern "noise" record. The carnage moves quickly and before you know it twenty short and brutally sharp tracks have passed and it's time to flip the record. I was reading an interview just today with Henry Rollins, basically saying that the "noise" movement is doing right now what punk rock promised before it became acceptable. This record is living proof of that notion. Seriously fucked up beyond belief. This will drag your corpse straight outta hell, drag it through the gutter defecate on it and spew it right back into the raging fires. Holy Shit!
Sissy Spacek is the long running project of JOHN WIESE and CORYDON RONNAU. On DASH, their second release for Gilgongo following the Fortune b/w The Eyes Of Men 7", they are joined by Norway's Lasse Marhaug (JAZKAMER) and Will Stangeland (TEARIST, SILVER DAGGERS). 41 tracks of scathing sound, cautiously partitioned into short bursts of truly obliterated hardcore, redefining "raw punk", and an even more destructive force than the already harsh and damaged tone of recent output. "The same vein" in a sense, but ruptured and bleeding out, heavily.
