I thought I'd have wrestle with Gruff. I can't remember the last time I spent any time with him. I used to be such a Super Furries fan as well... what indie band now would have a tank? They're all far too wet these days to do anything like that. Kudos to you Mr Rhys and lads... Gruff has been playing it solo for a while. I guess if you're a fan then I'm preaching to the converted as you'll already have heard the album but 'Honey All over' is a great 70's sounding pop tune. The chorus sounds just like ELO... I'd never noticed before. Go on Gruff! It's insanely catchy and I can't get it out of my head now at all. God damn it!
‘Honey All Over’ and previously unreleased, brilliantly titled new song ‘Xenodocheionology’ are released on special edition 12” and digital download.
‘Honey All Over’ is one of the many highlights of Gruff’s recently released, heartwarming solo album, ‘Hotel Shampoo’.
‘Hotel Shampoo’ has sparked an art installation, a sold out UK tour with high-altitude Welsh surf-rock band Y Niwl, an all night siege of an entire Blackpool hotel and videos involving sharks and horses.
As well as gigs in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and a nationwide US tour, Gruff will be headlining various UK festivals throughout the Summer.
