The follow up release to previous single ‘Iron Deer Dream’ released through Young & Lost. Fixers return, following up their spellbinding debut single ‘Iron Deer Dream’ with this four track EP, entitled ‘Here Comes 2001, So Lets All Head For The Sun’. It’s a statement, the first real body of work from this Oxford five piece. Fixers are no ordinary band. Gigs in the future include a show at Sounds From The Other City Festival in Manchester, where the band will be playing a church, with the backdrop a screening of Mariah Carey’s ‘Glitter’. They are a bold pop act, and like all the best pop, they are forward-thinking and innovative. Influences are pulled from an incredibly broad spectrum, from West coast psychedelia to Middle Eastern pop, New York dance grooves to Japanese pop. Debut single ‘Iron Deer Dream’ was released on Young And Lost, and saw Fixers earn rave reviews in The Fly, The Guardian, Uncut and NME, who featured them as one of the top ten bands to watch in 2011. The band did sessions for Jo Whiley and Huw Stephens at Radio 1, whilst Zane Lowe and Nick Grimshaw gave the track repeated plays. Avialable as CD EP with 4 tracks and also on limited 10" vinyl with all 4 tracks too.
