Taken from the bands critically-acclaimed sophomore album, Cob Dominos, released on Cherryade in February of this year, ‘Fuck It’ is another work of genius from a band whose imagination and creativity seems to know no bounds. ‘Fuck It’ is, in turns, fragile, unsettling and anthemic, and utterly unforgettable. Choosing another single from an album as overflowing with potential hits as Cob Dominos was no easy task, but after witnessing the rapturous audience reactions to ‘Fuck It’ at the band’s various sold-out UK shows earlier this year, it seemed the natural choice, a song which is sure to become the unofficial anthem for the summer of discontent, and a song which shows just exactly what the Lovely Eggs are capable of, a true statement of intent. ‘Fuck It’ is backed with two outstanding b-sides, ‘Watermelons’, taken from the album, which is positively bulging with exuberant joy and the fantastic brand new song ‘Band on the Sand’, all of which should help kick off the summer in style. ‘Fuck It’ will be released on ultra-limited edition 7” vinyl on 30th May.
