A mangled twittering slice of metronomic gibber-core starts the next record. Building up through the floor of this see-saw sound is some blunted hard techno but it sounds so muffled & detached it could be the 'Havin' It' club two doors down. I think they call the base element of the prominent high-end twatting around here 'Skwee' or summat like that. This tune is a banging bit of skwee acid techno for munters. Moving on, more abstract glitchy, rolling technoid madness sounding much in the vein of early Autechre or Bitstream. Onto Antonym's third track for us today, once again informed by thundering techno from the street across the way as all you can really hear is the thud of a galloping kick-drum buried under the kind of giddy looped madness you'd expect from Astral Social Club, Black Dice or some other black toothed miscreants. This is still a rhythmically-inclined record mind, there's lots of fun to be had with its chattering, delirious loops of funny (sic). I reckon you could mix this in easily with most IDM or experimental techno, the aptly named 'Confuse' would, by my reckoning, be especially good to jazz-up a terminally dull dub techno set maybe? We need more of these techno-wackos don't we?
Swiftly following on from his great little CD release on Downwards as Acarus Galvanicus, Antonym brings us more of his
finest mangled electronics in the form of a neat new 8 track package for Spain's finest, Semantica...
A1 Transmit / A2 React / A3 Reform / A4 Evade
B1 Confuse / B2 Pervade / B3 Evolve / B4 Inspire
