The Oscillation - Veils

It is almost three years since the release of The Oscillation s debut album Out Of Phase for DC Recordings. In those three years the band have played live all over the world, notching up a reputation as one of the finest live bands in the underground music world with performances alongside such musical luminaries as Chrome Hoof, Moon Duo, Beak, Zombie Zombie, Deerhunter, to name but a few This plethora of live experience has clearly had an effect on the song writing. Whilst their debut album was dominated by stripped back grooves and motorik rhythms Veils sees the Oscillation sound mature in numerous ways, song craft and introspection adding to their already rich penchant for sonic textures to create a rich and varied new collections of songs. From the industrial pulse of Future Echo to the haunted b-movie swagger of Fall , the disco dub fury of Telepathic Birdman to the ecstatic melancholy of See Through You , the album features a remarkable spectrum of sonic experiences that range from beautifully crafted melodic songs to droning, no-wave chaos. The album release will be accompanied by two video releases (for Future Echo and Lament ) made by long-standing visual collaborator Julian Hand. The Oscillation will also tour extensively in the wake of the album release!
