Dolphins Into The Future / Floris Vanhoof - Split

Our single of the week (13th May 2011)

Split by Dolphins Into The Future / Floris Vanhoof

Saw Dolphins Into The Future not long back and he had one of those luxurious Dave Smith synths and everything he touched turned to gold. The man is an expert at new age tranquility and his releases go from strength to strength. This is probably his most upbeat tune to date to which bubbling sounds (actual bubble sounds) take centre stage accompanied by bursts of new age synths. It doesn't really go anywhere and I'd have been disappointed if it did. Dave Smith synths are so outstandingly sexy and any man in possession of one can do do no wrong in my eyes. Not heard Floris Vanhoof before but his contribution is as luxurious and laidback as DITF's effort. Be warned; 'Electronic Mantra' is mildly discordant and disorientating so you should listen to it sitting down. Great 7" with a beautiful interchangeable sleeve featuring cosmic and aquatic imagery.

Limited split 7inch tour single featuring the work of Dolphins Into The Future and Floris Vanhoof. Comes in an Experimedia custom designed reversible sleeve featuring photography by each of the artists. Made especially for their April 2011 US Tour with Monopoly Child Star Searchers. Floris Vanhoof "Electronic Mantra" These oscillations can come as close as the cotton candy cover.Dolphins Into The Future "Neutral Buoyancy" A cantata for piano, water, electronic sounds and tape. This is a "Not Record Store Day" release.
