Mostly a live band, the band‘s studio recordings all follow the same live path, jams around a central riff and a basic structure, shunning any overdubs and with minimal post-production. Influences most apparent in the sound are 1970s psychedelic rock groups (especially Parson Sound) and doom staples such as Come My Fanatics -era Electric Wizard and Sleep‘s Jerusalem, Slow, chanting vocals and spoken-word sections are drawn from the lands of Lord Dunsany, Clark Ashton Smith and other dreamers‘ tales from the early 20th century, mirroring their stories of hashish-induced sojourns to outer worlds..
“You may want to equate this band to other drone bands but that is to totally underestimate the majesty of the acid 60s vibe they have captured on this recording. If you collectively placed the West Coast psych movement in a room, pumped their veins full of opiates then asked them to record, this is what would have probably been created” - The Sleeping Shaman
“A surprisingly restrained deep dark smoldering space rock slow jam, total late night chill out come down dream doom for sure” - Aquarius Records
“The great thing about Bong is while they doing something that has been done before, they are of the few bands that have truly taken it to the next level of sonic insanity” - www.doommantia.com 10/10
“Psychedelia is not necessarily born of overwhelming volume and faux mystery; those mistaking Bongs attempts to birth other states of mind as little more than repetition should try to retune their critical facilities that shit is misfiring" - www.digitalisindustries.com
“Bong's opening gambit sounds like a hobbling SATORI-period Flower Travellin Band pulling the kind of moves that Faust did for Tony Conrad on OUTSIDE THE DREAM SYNDICATE or maybe the title track of Amon duuls YETI as performed by Tokyos Far Out sitar n all' - Julian Cope / Head Heritage
“Bong do just that once again taking us on a blissed out drug fueled space psych kraut doom journey to end all journeys! " - Aquarius Records
“This is one of those rare albums that only come along once every few years if you are lucky and if you strive to hear the heaviest music you can find then this is an essential brain altering experience. This is heavy at its most pure” - www.doommantia.com//10
“Oh Bong. How we have longed for thee. Ever since we first got wind of a stonery slow motion doom sludge outfit called BONG, we knew we had to have it, even the non-bong inclined around these parts became disturbingly obsessed with tracking down the BONG. Finally it's here, so prepare to partake" - Aquarius Records.

Absolutely amazing. Imagine if Hawkwind had taken downers rather than acid and you played their albums at 16rpm. A total kosmische trip into another dimension.
