Rolo Tomassi are pleased to announce the release of Eternal Youth, an
anthology collection of rare and non-album material, which will be the
first original release on Destination Moon, the band's own label. The 36
track collection brings together material from the last six years including
original demo recordings, songs that were released exclusively via tape
and songs that were previously only available through their recent Subs
Club.
The band will also be embarking on an eight day national UK tour
in May (see dates below) that will see the band play at the London
Garage, their largest headline show to date.
The double CD and digital versions of Eternal Youth will be released
on Monday April 25 2011 through Destination Moon, while the triple LP
version of the album will be released through Holy Roar Records on
Record Store Day on Saturday April 16 2011.
Destination Moon released the re-press of the band's debut album
Hysterics last year, but this will be the first original release through the
label.
"When the band started I don't think any of us anticipated that our
records would sell out and be sought after," says James Spence
(Keyboards, vocals). "You can hear the first songs we recorded six
years ago, right up to the last tracks we did in August last year. This
release serves to make all our material available once again and to
also give you some idea of how our band's sound has changed and
developed over the six years we've been together."
"We're also really pleased to be properly launching Destination Moon,
our own label, on which we'll be putting out all future Rolo Tomassi
releases. We see this as an exciting step forward creatively for our
band," Spence added.
