Elbow release a new single from their critically lauded fifth studio album, ‘build a rocket boys!’ If ‘Seldom Seen Kid’ revealed Elbow to the wider world, ‘build a rocket boys!’ has confirmed them as one of the UK’s most successful bands both critically and commercially, leading to high chart positions for the album across the globe and a gold certification for the album in the UK in its first week on release.Open Arms’ has already been identified by The Guardian as ‘the first lighters-aloft in history to mention both folding chairs and finger rolls’ and by The Observer as embodying ‘the very idea of home, of community, of continuity’. The track is a celebration of a youthful Guy’s local Parish Hall, the scene of numerous Garvey family celebrations during his formative years. B side is an exclusive track titled "Buffalo Ghosts". ‘Open Arms’ seems destined to become the sound of the summer when the band take to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Friday June 24th.
