Includes a 24 page full color booklet and an exclussive temporary tattoo.Described as "Victorian punk", “The White Stripes lost in Alice's Wonderland” or "like Nina Simone fronting The Raincoats", the Agent Ribbons have been showcasing their unique garage-pop with a cabaret-esque touch since 2007, with bands such as Camera Obscura, Vivian Girls, Cake and Detroit Cobras, and have played South by South West and Primavera Sound festivals amongst others. The story of Agent Ribbons has not one - but many - beginnings. Originally hailing from the shanty-Victorian streets of downtown Sacramento, they now reside in Austin, TX when they aren't traveling the world and jamming econo. Natalie Gordon (guitar and vocals) and Lauren Hess (drums) always catch crowds off-guard with their live rawness, bringing both an honest minimalism and unapologetic theatricality to their live shows. Chateau Crone was recorded with Manny Nieto (The Breeders, HEALTH) in Los Angeles and with Scott McChane (Tape-Op Magazine) at The Hangar in Sacramento, in both digital and analog formats over the course of a year. With delicate violin arrangements, noisy dissonant tangents, Spector-esque vocal harmonies and clever melodic phrasing, the album cannot commit to a genre but always manages to sound like the same brand of baroque pop.
