A classic slice of New Wave Post Punk from the Bush Tetras. Two awesome tracks on one 7" courtesy of Roir records. The A-side 'Too Many Creeps' was originally released on 99 Records at the end of 1980 with the B-side 'You Can't Be Funky' coming a little later (1982) courtesy of Stiff Records, US. Both tracks are absolutely outstanding! 'Too Many Creeps' is minimalist post-punk perfection and lays down the blueprint for urban feminist statement in U.S underground Punk Rock. Hot on the heels of the likes of Gang Of Four, this track would have sounded like the future back in 1980. Tight disco influenced rhythms play off Pat Place's razor sharp guitar stabs. 'You Can't Be Funky' maximizes the groove and hints at a kinship with fellow NY girl group ESG. Totally funky business. A must have purchase from a classic outfit.
