Well I wondered as I was watching Kill Bill the other week what had happened to that wonderful Japanese all-girl group with their annoyingly silly & infectious song. Well old Jack W. has hoovered them up to feature in his Third Man 'blue' series and now they've a brilliant song about a hungry racoon to tantalise you with. I dunno much about Japanese garage music but if 'Sho-Jo-Ji' doesn't make you grin like a loon and want to clutch it's shimmery, scratchy, cooing daft face to your busom then you're either stupid or deaf. Sorry to all our customers who are actually stupid and/or deaf. You can send me hate-filled e-mails later. 'Charumera Sobaya' on the flip is a cracking floor-stomping country blues number dedicated to nutritious qualities of the humble Soba noodle. The slide steel on this tune makes me feel deliriously happy, like i'm eating noodles on a beach in Hawaii. Not as happy as i'd be if some steaming fresh noodles were now slapped in front of my hungry face. It's nearly quarter to two, where is my dinner? Waaaah!!
