As If Punk Rock Never Happened/Pretty Vague Cunt by Andrew Liles

4...according to our on Wed 20 Apr, 2011.

Everyone's got their William and Kate mugs, right? Good 'cos this picture 7", Andrew Liles' attempt at a commemorative item, got completely ruined by mega-pussy pressing plants who refused to make the copies up for some completely baffling reason.. I mean look at the picture on our site - as if FAR more offensive things don't get pressed up ALL THE FUCKING TIME with nary a whisper? Anyways, it all makes the title 'As If Punk Rock Never Happened' all the more ironic, I guess. The A-side is comprised of squalling, noisy guitar and perfunctory tinpot drumbeating with a comedy stretched-out vocal interjection about halfway through. 'Pretty Vague Cunt' (isn't that pretty much what John Lydon actually sings anyway?) is a sweet acoustic guitar 'n' piano piece that totally belies its title (barring someone whispering "cunt" right at the start), sounding like some of his BFF David Tibet's most tender moments.

'As If Punk Rock Never Happened' is a 7" picture disc that will be out on April 16th and is Andrew Liles' contribution toward International Record Store Day. The disc also doubles as a cynical 'commemorative' item for the Royal wedding on April 29th. Get it for your grandmother in your local record shop... she will love the B-side 'Pretty Vague Cunt'.

Interesting note for you. No pressing plants would press this due to the artwork so it has been censored with huge black circles over the faces so you won't get the image above on your record. Fucking stupid if you ask me....
