Amiina’s debut, Animamina EP, was released in 2004. This is a magical little album and still today an album the band is very proud of and holds dear.
The EP has been hard to get in its physical format for a long time as it’s been sold out and only available when amiina has been touring. This is the beginning of the band’s journey of artful aesthetics, experiments with unconventional instruments and exotic sounds. These four tracks are beautiful and mystifying, lush but vibrant landscapes of sound that no fan of amiina can be without.
