Patrick Wolf - The City

I defied decades of convention by loving the last Patrick Wolf single 'Time of My Life' a rollicking uplifting orch-pop tune. You'll be pleased to note that everything is back to normal, this new single is the type of '80's Thatcher pop that I thought had gone out with the decline of Hue and Cry. It defies belief it really does - a sax solo for God sake! The man is a bloody numpty - talent wasting on a scale of Rod Stewart out of ten. The B side is a gospel-ish number which although ridiculous and pompous is actually ok if you ignore the fact that Travis have already done a song called 'Sing' where the title is repeated ad nauseam.
