~ (R E A L L O V E) by Factory Floor

Cult 2011 Indie dance champs Factory Floor are back with a double header 12" featuring the original version and an Optimo remix of their sweet epic club track ~(R E A L L O V E) and you know what? It's been loosely styled along the lines of the Donna Summer classic 'I Feel Love' - all relentless, galloping ecstatic Moroder-isms but it also brings forth a discreet ACR/Liquid Liquid-ish kick to the undercurrent with blurred wisps of vocal cloud hovering & stuttering in & out of the mix. This is a kicking monster of a tune that doesn't really care that it wears it's influences on its sleeve. There's also a distinct industrial/EBM feel to it further along the line, enhanced even more greatly by the totally stunning Optimo remix. A dark, pulsing, brooding MONSTER that will surely slay dancefloors all over the shop. Just the right pace, the atmosphere throughout is thrillingly electric & volatile, that classic synth sound is embellished by some stunning aural pyrotechnics that just ramp up the excitement levels no end. I was expecting nothing this good, I'm having one of these babes!!

*It's early days yet, but things are going well for the London-based trio FACTORYFLOOR:NikColk(guitar/
vocals/electronics), Gabe Gurnsey (drums/ electronics) and Dom Butler (electronics/vocals). And Optimo Music are in the
unique position of doing a remix for Factory Floor and having a exclusive single release for it.
*“~ (R E A L L O V E)” An Optimo (Espacio) Mix is already getting attention from James Holden, The Quietus, and it was
only mastered about a fortnight ago. The Optimo (Espacio) mix was made at the behest of Factory Floor an was done by
Optimo music head honcho JD Twitch alongside his sometime collaborator Dave Clark.
*Their first release with this line up, a 10" Vinyl + DVD package came out only last month on blastfirstpetite. Already the
NME gave it a 9 out of 10 (only the 3rd record in 18 months to receive such response). They called it "The final point of a
dystopian triangle begun earlier this year by These New Puritans and Liars"....."soundtrack of an underworld
disco"....most poetically ."never before has disco been so beautifully cruel" Artrocker summed up the release as "soaring
above their peers" and an "intense, challenging & ultimately rewarding" intense experience.
*Live performances by Factory Floor have already developed a considerable , if forboding reputation. The NME - "Piston
drums kick in, jaws drop" , Artrocker "bearing withness to them in a live environment is an eye opening experience that
many will benefit from"...."the antithesis of conventional pop structures".They've toured with Fuck Buttons and Cold
Cave, played shows with Liars, HTRK and Andy Weatherall.
*Stephen Morris, the drummer and rhythm king for music legends Joy Division & New Order produced the original
version and continues to work with the band on remixes and new tracks.
