The Wolfmen - Cat Green Eyes / Real Fake

Cat Green Eyes / Real Fake by The Wolfmen

“Cat Green Eyes” stems from The Wolfmen’s proflific 2010 sessions with The Dandy Warhols’ Courtney Taylor-Taylor. The single includes b-side track “Real Fake” Songs from “The Dandy Sessions” will form the band’s second album Married to the Eiffel Tower, set to be released on 2nd May. The album includes the Wolfmen’s highly regarded 2010 duet with Sinéad O’Connor, “Jackie, is it my Birthday?” The single won massive radio support from the likes of Dermot O’Leary (BBC Radio 2), Don Letts (BBC 6Music) and Lauren Laverne and is heralded by Rolling Stone as “rock rage is wrapped in an ethereal halo.” It also features a cover of a long lost (and unreleased) Velvet Underground number, remixed with a “vibey, almost Primal Scream feel” that has the official Lou Reed seal of approval.  Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou formed The Wolfmen in 2005. Marco (guitars) enjoyed extraordinary success with Adam & The Ants and later worked with Siouxsie & The Banshees and Sinéad O’Connor. Chris (bass & lead vocals) previously led JackieOnAssid and worked with Adam Ant and Annabella Lwin. "There'd be no Sugar Ray, Nine Inch Nails without these boys." FHM / "Marco Pirroni is one of the finest guitartists to come out of the UK punk scene: fact." Classic Rock / “Steeped in the space-age glam boogie of Bowie and T Rex with a bit of Iggy-in-Berlin thrown in… infernally catchy.” Mojo / “A swaggering, snarling set of glam garage punk and bangrha break beats…” Word / "The tunes that are blowing the office speakers this month..." Big Cheese / Wolfmen is the band from Marco Pironni guitars and Chris Constantinou vocals and bass.  Blessed with the Midas production touch of Courtney Taylor-Taylor from the Dandy Warhols, who also features on “The Cowboys Dream” from new album”Married To The Eiffel Tower”. Forget The Wolfmen’s soundtrack work (controversial Britflick Dogging being only part of it), their incredible collaborations (and you really would like to hear their recordings with Indian superstar Daler Mehndi) or the 6 weeks spent on NME radio’s A-list and continuous support from Jonathan Ross, Zane Lowe, Marc Riley, Gary Crowley.  As well as support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6Music and NME Radio the band are also known to for their previous, surprising and strong collaborations – Lou Reed, Daler Mehndi (The biggest selling Indian artist in music history) and a cover of Screaming Jay Hawkins’ “I Put A Spell On You” with the mighty Primal Scream for an Alexander McQueen catwalk show.  Their track Cecilie was A-listed on NME Radio for seven weeks in a row. Big Cheese rock mag put the 2011 Wolfmen release Married to the Eiffel Tower in the top spot of their hallowed list of the best of previews for 2011 declaring that Marco and Chris “produced the year’s best songwriting.
