These Portland types are almost the quintessential jam band. They are brooding and hypnotic and their sound is steeped in psyche. It's an epic album is this puppie. It really draws the listener in, with its tripped out compositions, sloowww drums and standing-on-a-cliff wailing guitars. There is much wailing on this record. There is enough wailing on this record to dishearten the most avid of Norwegian shipping company's... (leave shome for ush you guysh!!!). All the tracks on this LP are about a million years long and hardly rush to conclusions. That's no bad thing though, as each song is a haunting journey to the centre of time itself. They use space and drawn out passages to ensnare you in a world of psychedelic wonder. It's an album full of improvised guitar, interlocking rhythms and a whole load of ambient soundscapes. It features members of Heavy Winged and Jackie O-Mutherfucker. If this sounds good on paper (or parchment if your feeling mystical) it sounds even more epic on vinyl...or CD. Wonderful stuff.

· “The pleasure of the guitar riff has been almost exclusively
hogged by Doom rockers and stoners for the last few
years. Eternal Tapestry are one of an increasing number of
artists reclaiming it for more innervated and colourful
purposes...The austere focus of OM et al is displaced by
Motor City energy and space rock colour rooted in The
Stooges, Hawkwind, heavy Kraut and latterday believers
like Spacemen 3 and Loop” - The Wire.
