French Wives are Siobhan Anderson, Chris Barclay, Stuart Dougan, Scott Macpherson and Jonny Smith; an exciting,
Glasgow based band that make colourful, interesting indie-pop.
The band toured extensively around the UK last year, taking in raucous festival appearances that included a
headline set on the acclaimed T Break Stage at T in the Park. They performed successful support slots with
Mystery Jets, Two Door Cinema Club and Bombay Bicycle Club and were named the inaugural winners of the
Scotsman Radar Prize in late 2010.
French Wives intend to start 2011 in the same auspicious manner as they left 2010. This will begin with the release
of their debut EP, ‘Feel Safe Small’ on brand new imprint Red Hat Records, on Monday 21st February, followed by
an extensive UK in support of the record.
“Infectious of sound and purposeful in delivery… every inch their own band, it’s this headstrong sense of
sonic identity that’s become French Wives’ greatest strength.”
