This is the work of threesome Brendan O'Keefe (Nimby), Daren Ho (Driphouse, Gel Tapes), and Jeff Witscher (Rene Hell, etc) with the latest drop on this Not Not Fun sublabel being curated by Amanda (LA Vampires/ Pocohaunted). The A side is a really laidback 4/4 exotic techno affair, slowly building with three separate parts that all merge into a single track. Things really kick in by the time we get midway through 'Towel' when things get stomping with a really warped groove. Then things sound like a smothered disco loop trying to break out of the haze. The flipside I know from a video on the labels vimeo page. Infectious screwed, majestic technoid fun that mutates into deep electro vibes and then a weirdo reduced house sorta thing. A surefire grower I reckon too.
Dreamteam trio of Brendan O'Keefe (Nimby), Daren Ho (Driphouse, Gel Tapes), and Jeff Witscher (Rene Hell, etc) make loner raver cuts for the new-old CGI acid punk generation. futurist trance beats that dissolve into Tron atmospherics. third release on Amanda (Pocahaunted / Not Not Fun / La Vampires) Brown's new label...super cool euro disco style bags..
