Coki - Boomba / Carbon Aliens

Boomba / Carbon Aliens by Coki

3...according to our on Fri 18 Mar, 2011.

Interesting looking horse/ donkey type thing on the sleeve of this. Coki one half of Digital Mystikz and produces a lop sided swagger of a tune with the usual dubstep wibbling and shotgun percussion. To save time and effort the B side uses exactly the same drum sound but this time over laden by what sounds like a man blowing down a drainpipe. Not sure what is running through Coki's mind at the moment but this is some kind of bizarre cartoon-step.

Tempa055 sees the return of the inimitable Coki (Digital Mystikz) to Tempa with his first productions for the label since the now legendary 'Night' produced alongside Benga (Tempa 030) and his first solo material since the highly revered Tortured/Shattered 12" in 2006 (Tempa 024).

'Boomba' sees sub-bass and wobble merged into one, fighting for supremacy, accompanied by guitar and strings.

'Carbon Aliens' on the Southside is a more, but not a lot, subdued affair, beginning with an otherworldly drum intro before the sub-bass weighs in.

Support from N-Type, Skream, Benga, Digital Mystikz, Mark Pritchard, Chef and Hatcha.
