I'm starting to feel like the most stupid man alive today as I'm slowly losing grip on what I'm supposed to be doing and how to do things (simple things like how to play a CD and type words....) Maybe it's Alzheimer's? I thoguht this dude was called Polygon:08 but he's actually caleld A.G. (again with the Alzheimer's...) The first time I heard this I thought it was mint. It's absolutely beautiful neo-classical gear with elements of electronics in there. Not a million miles away from the likes of Sir Max of Richter and you can hear things like Harold Budd, Aphex's Selected Ambient Works Volume 2 and early Library Tapes in there. What you get is 28 tracks of sparse well-crafted electronic music interspersed with piano. The majority of the tracks are short vignette tasters you might say with the occasional full bodied moment there fleshing the album out. You do get some quite large gaps in between the music which adds to the ambiance of the whole thing. I genuinely think this is ace and fans of Deaf Center and the aforementioned people should check this beauty out. Loads of sound clips on the site for you to get your teeth into with this one!
'A.G works into different forms of composition. His latest work POLYGON:08, released in September 2010, is directed between classical, minimal and ambient music. It consists of a great number of piano compositions, embodying repeated patterns in slow motion with electronic sounds. Most of the recordings were accomplished in Athens, 2008 and earlier in London and Newcastle from 2000 to 2004.'
