Hopeless Local Marching Band are from Japan and this is the latest release on Symbolic Interaction, also from Japan. This is a double CD (one a remix CD - more later) retailing at the low, low price of £6.99 - labels - it can be done. Anyway the music contained is twisty turny mathematic progressive rock with lots of piano and squeaky guitars that turn distorted in the heavier bits but its mainly piano led. I'm no expert on this type of stuff but I can hear bits of Deerhoof, King Crimson and Sparks though it must be noted that this is instrumental - not a vocal in sight. The remix album has an impressive list of contributors including Funckarma, D_rradio, Maps and Diagrams and many, many more.
Description: The last release before symbolic interaction will pause the activities for a while (2011-2013?) is the
1st album from Japanese local band called Hopeless Local Marching Band who has been acting in Japanese
very country side place, Yamanashi-prefecture. The melodies and tunes fluctuate vertiginously and that gets
listeners into chaotic condition. In such chaos, listeners would find positive cores of the tracks. This revolutionary
music style can be found from their sounds and would break current music scene. Mastered by Rudi Arapahoe
and Artworks by fresh artist, (u/o). CD of Fine remixes by symbolic interaction’s artists like Funckarma, Geskia!
or d_rradio are also included. Their hopelessness can change world dramatically.
Hopeless Local Marching Band: Formed in 2010, at very country side place, Yamanashi-prefecture of Japan.
