This is one you need in your life if you dig fucked up cutting edge electronic music. Bursting with 19 killer joints from familiar and unfamiliar faces like Wobbly, Mike Dunkley, Fluorescent Grey, Column One, Candle Labra, Ata Ebtekar, Nommo Ogo, Wisp, Dalglish, Senryl, Koyxen, Claroscent Dray, Contagious Orgasm, Sean Niessen, Jacob Jarnigon, Upside Down Umbrella, 10-20 and Tomoroh Hidari there is some crazy stuff happening. Brian sums up the spirit of this in his words of the sister release 'Electric Carpets' so I'll spare the waffle and just say that with these guys at the controls i.e some of the most skilled and original electronic music producers on the planet, you're in for one hell of a ride!

Focusing on sound design and atmosphere, consider Drinking the Goat's Blood experimental, but not in the typical sense of noise, ambient or improvisational music. Rather, it is a series of often disparate elements that have been lovingly arranged and ritualistically hewn into a seamless psychedelic pastiche. Wobbly, fresh off his VS album with Matmos, offers up hyperkinetic musique concrete' lullabies. Candle Labra concocts rich, detailed synthesizer textures that could easily be confused for field recordings, as they hover right on the edge of the auditory uncanny valley.
