The Chapman Family - Burn Your Town

Burn Your Town by The Chapman Family

I've seen a couple of interviews with these lads which have made me chuckle, sound like a canny bunch. Having read one of them being angry about almost everything, ever has made me want to like their music. It's going to be a bit of a struggle. It's angsty rock music that sounds like a cross between an early, angry Maximo Park and a furious Twilight Sad a bit Six by Seven. It doesn't offer anything new, just a lot of noisy guitars and pleading, preaching vocals. Its dark and angry, a bit gothy and utterly predictable, much better when they stretch their wings and build on the rhythmic terror of more drawn out tracks like '1000 Lies' but if you want to hear some scathing, furious rock music listen to last years untouchable 'Warm Widow' album for reference.
