Bastian Wegner - Elmsfeuer

This release was brought about from a demo tape Bastian sent to Sahko in spring 2009. First I put it aside for more than a year and then suddenly it came back to my mind. No surprise that it was autumn time, when the days got darker. For me the record is the soundtrack for the darkest and coldest day of the year. Whereas Bastian himself suggests that the record rather relates to the stormy sea and feeling of drowning.
Bastian Wegner is a Cologne based musician whose main practice is composing for theatre. The tracks of Elsmfeuer were originally excerpts and sketches for the various theatre scores.
