Kasha - What a Colourful Mouth

What a Colourful Mouth by Kasha

4...according to our on Thu 16 Dec, 2010.

This is the second release from this quartet who hail from Caneberra in the upsidedown land. As my brain has turned to jelly I shall do the lazy cop out thing of copying something directly from the press release, here you go: "rework the traditional notion of rock music, approaching tension and repetition with dissonance and metric imbalance - think Motor City, think DC, think electricity!" If you want some kind of opinion then both Phil and myself happen to think it is pretty good. Fuck knows what the rest of the team think as they're not in the room... Everyone must have gone to the toilet or something. Anyway the recording captures the bands energy without a load of fancy post production. Comes with CD in stamped Arigato pak with letter pressed insert.

hellosQuare welcomes Kasha into our family with 'What A Colourful Mouth' - their second release and first on vinyl. Recorded and mixed with our good friend Casey Rice (Dirty Three, Pikelet, Ben Lee), this single see the young Canberra quartet rework the traditional notion of rock music, approaching tension and repetition with dissonance and metric imbalance - think Motor City, think DC, think electricity!

This release comes in a trademark Stumptown Printers 7" Arigato Pak (recycled brown) with an insert card letter-pressed by Ben Owen at Middle Press.
