Chet Baker - Live in Florence 1956

Live in Florence 1956 by Chet Baker

In 1955 a 26-year-old Chet Baker made his first trip to Europe. Over a period of about six months, Baker toured Italy, Germany, France and Denmark. On 24 January 1956, Baker gave this quintet performance in Florence, Italy at the prominent music conservatory, “Conservatorio Cherubini”, using all European players, some of whom (Francy Boland and Eddie De Haas) Baker liked so much that he invited them back to the States to continue playing with him.
