I think Hit Club might have something to do with the indie tastemakers over at Young and Lost Club.. I'm not totally sure. But apparently they're deffoes behind Egyptian Hip-Hop in some way too and everyone's buying their stuff at the moment so that seems good I think. Get People do a bright, bouncy, slightly tropical and heavily 80s-influenced indie/dance/pop sort of thing which kinda sounds like Howard Jones playing with Vampire Weekend or something. Maybe? God, I don't even know. And I'm both unwilling and unable to try to do better.
party popsters get people release their debut single - double a side 'careless / odyssey' through hit club records (the high-minded bedroom label behind egyptian hip hop and wolf gang). it's limited to just 300 copies. the london band have already lent their tropical flavour to remixes of bands such as mystery jets and morning parade. 'careless' is a perfect 80's style pop nugget which oozes style, groove and class.
