Glis Glis and The Slow 250 - Paracurricular Activity 1 + 2

Here's the catchily titled Glis Glis and The Slow 250 with the even more catchily titled cassette 'Paracurricular Activity 1 + 2' on the reasonably catchily titled Stadt Moers label. As you'd expect from it being on cassette you're not gonna be treated to 40 minutes of catchy fun pop music. What you get is a load of experimental noise, field recordings, weird folk, drone, sound collage and other such goings on. You knew you were getting that. It's an enjoyable romp though if you can call it a romp, lots of strange noises, weird vibes and atmospherics are present here. It's a soundtrack to the weird and unexpectedly it's one of the better things I've heard this week with it breezing into the 'like side of my brain' without me even really noticing. Astonishing result, came from nowhere. It is quite soundtracky as the music gets you going while you imagine some exciting visuals to accompany the strange noises.
