You can say what you like about Jack White but he's clearly passionate about music and he's also obsessed with vinyl and trying to invent ludicrous formats. I admire him for that... I still don't understand that triple decker thing he did even after watching the video. Here's Wanda Jackson's second single for the label. This is so unlike anything else we sell it's awesome. It's proper ol' rockabilly with a bit of blues rock in there. You can tell it's been produced by White as it has that beefy sound... He also features on it along with My Morning Jacket, Dead Weather, Raconteurs folks and he's even got his missus Elson on board. 'Thunder On The Mountain' was written by Bob Dylan especially for Wanda. Crazy, or notso perhaps? This is nothing but 100% fun fun fun.

Known around the globe as The Queen Of Rock and The First Lady Of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson has joined with a new friend and producer Jack White, to bring us this latest taste of her signature flavor. The tracks feature Jack White. Jack Lawrence (The Dead Weather/Raconteurs), Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket), Patrick Keeler (Raconteurs), Ashley Monroe, Jackson Smith and Karen Elson, to name a few. Thunder On The Mountain is a particularly exceptional track. Originally penned by Bob Dylan and chosen for Mrs. Jackson by the poet himself - his rockabilly fever dream is given new life by the songstress.
