Inspector Tapehead - Duress Code

Duress Code by Inspector Tapehead

Older folk and blues melodies, fused with modern party rhythms and mucky synth licks.

Inspector Tapehead first came together in Glasgow during the winter of 2007, when Chris Croasdale decided to recruit former bandmate Roy Shearer and pop idle Jonnie Common (Down the Tiny Steps) to play some songs he had on the simmer.

The band have since had the pleasure of supporting the likes of Los Campesinos! and FOUND, as well as entertaining folks at the Fence Records Homegame Festival and various guerillaesque art events. They have also enjoyed being played on the Welsh, English and Scottish varieties of the Radio One Introducing programme.

Duress Code was recorded over three weekend sessions, spanning two years of whisky-like song maturation, and slow-mo WAV file badminton.  is time allowed the band to refine their approach to experimentation, dressing inherent Pop suites with innovation while avoiding the socks and sandals of self indulgence. The album is a colourful and dynamic collection designed to move hearts and hinds.

Tracks: Sugar on Your Sheets / Yarvil / A Fillet of Bozo / Sam / I am Your Pedigree / Grooming / Listen With Your Ears but Look Through a Telescope / WCMJ / Pherenzik Tear / Pegswood's Day in the Sun
