Digital Mystikz - Education/ Horrid Henry

Well this is a special occasion in my calendar > A new Digital Mystikz 12" proper!!!!! From the first four bars I'm in it, a slightly melancholy synth hovers over solid, rolling drums, a barely decipherable Jamaican sounding vocal and then the track winds down to almost nothing then builds again this time with a gritty, gnarly bass growling amidst the sheen of the metallic percussion, the synth arrives back to the fore and then it's simply full on heads down get lost in the smoke vibes. 'Horrid Henry' takes the 'Spongebob' heavy, syncopated wobble to new levels of ridiculousness. So much so it's possibly a little cartoonish and I'm afraid I must admit that it's not really doing it for me and I could see it probably annoying me on repeated listens. One for the numpties I reckon! Having said that I would probably go nuts to it myself after 8 pints. I can live without the irritating 'Horrid Henry' but 'Education' is wicked.
