Hiss Golden Messenger is the current recording name of M.C. Taylor, a songwriter whose work is spun from the very brightest threads of the Cosmic American Song Book.

Taylor formerly fronted seminal alt-country rockers The Court & Spark and has a voice that could charm birds from trees.

Stark and focussed, echoes of John Martyn, Tim Hardin, Neil Young, Jackson C. Frank and Townes Van Zandt can be heard loud and clear in a sound that combines shades of folk, blues, country, soul and gospel.
