Following on from last year’s impossibly good The Love Quadrant EP by Space Dimension Controller, Kinnego Records return with two tracks from label owner Boxcutter, his first new material since the Arecibo Message album on Planet Mu. “Moon Pupils” is a gentle, trippy bit of 2-step, full of tweaked analogue melodies and tape echoed flute. On the flip, Boxcutter & Kab Driver take inspiration from vintage library music and dubbed out disco. “2Time” is all handclaps and insistent synth chords, with two woozy string-led breakdowns. Kab Driver previously worked on KGO001 as part of Kinnego Flux.Available on 12” vinyl (mastered at the Exchange), and digitally. The first 300 vinyl copies are shipped in silk-screened sleeves.
