"The Return Of The Ring" is the third release by Kawabata Makoto on Reverb Worship. This time he presents two long live tracks both recorded in japan by Takayama Manabu. In his own words Makoto said the album is "like japanese traditional court drone music, Gagaku meets electric guitar !!".The first is track "It Might Be Fate That You Were Hurt By Me" was recorded at the Helluva Lounge in Kobe on 13th August 2010.It features bowed electric guitar drone interspersed with varied percussive tapping sounds, feedback and a segment featuring chanting which Makoto seems to summon up spirits from above. The second track "The Return Of The Ring From You" was recorded at Bears in Osaka on 12th August 2007.This track offers more industrial and metallic sounds with layers of feedback, evil fretwork and bowed electric guitar exorcism.
