We've had a few things in by these now so you've probably got the idea: guitar-led West Coast-y country pop/rock with the merest hint of psychedelia... There's no doubt that they do it well though! 'Powers of Ten' is a breezily relaxed number whilst 'Open Up Your Door' brings the rhythm but keeps the... Er... Breeze? And a bit of brass n'all! Byrds/Allman Brothers/Gram Parsons etc. etc. blah blah blah.
"Psych-country pop that mixes West Coast '60s America, junked-out '70s and the best of '90s
northern England" -NME
London-based quintet The See See are proud to announce the release of a new single,
‘Powers Of Ten’ on German label Rank Records on 25 of October 2010.
Released on limited-edition seven inch and download, both songs on the record are
notable additions to the band’s enviable array of great songs.
‘Powers Of Ten’ is a rework of a song by US underground psychedelic legend Bill Doss of The
Olivia Tremor Control, and features a vocal contribution from Doss himself.
‘Open Up Your Door’ on the flipside is a lovely piece of ethereal psychedelic bluegrass
recorded in the band’s Stoke Newington warehouse space.
All the band’s singles to date have sold out rapidly, while The See See were personally picked
by Jack White to support The Raconteurs on a UK tour and have just completed the same
role for The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
The See See’s long-awaited debut album, ‘Late Morning Light’ is out on Dell’Orso Records on
October 25th 2010
