Burial Hex - From The Rites of Lazarus

From The Rites of Lazarus by Burial Hex

4...according to our on Thu 21 Oct, 2010.

Burial Hex at 9:30 in the morning....I'm a lucky bugger me. This 'From The Rites Of Lazarus' is in ridiculously short supply (150 copies!) so anyone keen on the old 'Horror Electronics' should move fast if they want to acquire a copy. Now, this is a noisy record full of doom inspired noise and sharp tones that cut through the eardrum like fucking barbed wire. In this case there are occasional let up's from the brutality with darkness substituted for the occasional ambient vocal outburst or a rumbling of the odd synth or two. Mainly 'From The Rites Of Lazarus' is a fudge of field noise and manipulated found sound from what I can gather. It's incredibly dark and intense very much like northern winter, which is something I don't really wanna dwell on right now. At times it also reminds me of the sounds I'd associate with natural disasters such as flash floods, volcanoes, hurricanes and shit like that. Still, good shit nevertheless.

Burial Hex is a composition cycle by Clay Ruby, featuring "Horror Electronics" to be executed in preparation for thee final mysteries coming in the twilight of this Kali Yuga; from 2004 to 2012, from the cemetery to the stars. From the Rites of Lazarus showcases three compositions dedicated to entry and fearless adventure through the spirit world. Recorded between 2007 and 2010, Burial Hex indulges in heady astral invocations and intense sound worlds intended to enable a strong passing of the crossroads and inspired journeys through the forth and fifth dimensions with grand ole' Papa Legba. LP comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve,
limited to 120 hand  numbered copies w/insert.
