I like this record. It comes at you like a horse on fire at a wedding. It screeches and forces your mind into meltdown. Its relentless energy and uncompromising manner fire beams of molten space rock at you. The drums are pounding and the guitars do more wailing than an entire fleet of Norwegian shipping vessels. Production is ace on this LP - really rich and full, yet it has a rawness that can't be ignored. Coming at you like a runaway train powered by guitar hero spunk. There are moments of sensitivity though, as these dudes know when not to hit the intergalactic overdrive pedal and the fact that they do decide to reign in the rock makes for a beguiling listen. It reminds me of Fu Manchu mixed with the piss of Lemmy. which if you could bottle and drink that cosmic concoction it will leave you feeling as you do when hearing Bo Ningen, amazed and totally spaced out with a massive cloud of musical mastery hanging about in your mind palace. An enchanting trip through time and space.

· “Bo Ningen sprays action-painted psychedelic
guitar splatter over choppy post-punk riffs, with
nods to the improvisatory ethos that always
nibbles at the fringes of all the best Japanoise
music. Impossible speed meets unbelievable
precision. Vast slabs of sound thread delicate
pathways” – Timeout.
· “With their squalling and spacey sound, these
Japanese noise merchants are Can meets
Kraftwerk, Faust meets Fugazi” – Band Of The
Day, The Guardian.
